A Nasdaq-listed Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) firm, Freshworks, has carried out another round of layoffs affecting teams in its offices in India and the US. The company lays off 90 employees from their company.
“In response to Moneycontrol’s queries, Freshworks stated via email that they have not conducted org-wide layoffs and are still hiring for open positions. The company mentioned that they are continually reviewing organizational efficiencies to avoid duplicated efforts and maintain a strong performance culture. Consequently, a small number of individuals are affected and will be leaving the company,” clarified Freshworks.
Freshworks clarified that the layoff is mainly intended to enhance organizational efficiency and is unrelated to any problems stemming from the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.
“In a statement, the company mentioned that they do not anticipate any internal or customer spillover effects from the Silicon Valley Bank scenario,” confirmed Freshworks.
